Marisa Schaaf Designs originated in 2021 with a vision to revolutionize the architectural landscape of Cape Cod through innovative 3D renderings. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, Marisa catered to high-end architects, builders, and real estate agents, quickly gaining recognition for her unique style and attention to detail. This innovative approach not only fosters enhanced communication but also encourages collaboration between design professionals and their clients in a meaningful way. As the demand for her comprehensive and tailored design solutions grew, the studio naturally evolved into a full-service interior design firm, expanding its range of offerings.

In 2024, recognizing the need for additional support, Marisa welcomed her husband, Brendan, as a partner. This collaboration allows her to focus on the design and construction elements of the business while he aids in furthering their shared vision. Marisa Schaaf Designs continues to prioritize a select number of clients each year, ensuring that every project receives the utmost care and dedication that distinguishes their work in the industry.

Today, Marisa Schaaf Designs stands out as a leading interior design studio on Cape Cod, providing sophisticated and thoughtful services that reflect the unique spirit of the region while addressing the diverse needs and aspirations of its discerning clientele.

  • Principal Interior Designer

    Marisa grew up in Falmouth, where the foundations of her creativity were laid. Her father’s carpentry and her godmother’s architectural influence sparked her passion for design from an early age. While pursuing a degree in Graphic Design in San Diego, she met Brendan, her husband, whose career in the Navy would lead them on a journey across the globe. Marisa graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater State University and spent the next decade immersed in various facets of the design industry.

    Their adventures took them to Charleston, SC; Tokyo, Japan; Singapore; and Naples, Italy, enriching Marisa’s design perspective with rich cultural influences. Now settled back on Cape Cod, she draws from her extensive travels to create spaces that are both functional and inviting. As a mother of three young boys, Marisa finds inspiration in family life and her love for cooking, combining these elements to foster creativity in her designs. Through Marisa Schaaf Designs, she aims to craft homes that resonate with warmth and livability, reflecting both her unique experiences and the beauty of home.

  • General Manager & Business Partner

    Brendan, originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, brings a diverse background to his role as general manager at Marisa Schaaf Designs. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Union College and was commissioned as a naval officer through NROTC at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Serving in the U.S. Navy as Naval Aviator from 2006 to 2021, Brendan developed a strong foundation in leadership and operational efficiency. While on active duty, he furthered his education by obtaining a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Citadel Baker School of Business. He later secured a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).

    In his current position with Marisa Schaaf Designs, Brendan provides essential behind-the-scenes business support, allowing Marisa to concentrate on her unique skill set and creative vision.

  • Design Associate

    Casey, originally from Mattapoisett, MA, earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance from Stonehill College and spent ten years building a career in the finance industry. After taking time to stay home with her son, she felt called to pursue her long-standing passion for interior design. While building her family’s home in Canton, she experienced firsthand how thoughtful design can transform a house into a forever home. That process affirmed her desire to help others create spaces that feel deeply personal, functional, and welcoming. As an Associate Designer, Casey blends her detail-oriented business background with a warm, client-focused design approach. She lives in Canton with her husband and their son, raising their family in the community where her husband grew up.

  • Design Coordinator

    Lexi grew up in Bend, Oregon, and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Portland. Her years in nursing fostered a deep understanding of how the spaces we inhabit influence how we feel. That insight inspired her transition into interior design—where she could combine her passion for caring for others with her love of creativity.

    As a Design Coordinator at Marisa Schaaf Designs, Lexi brings precision, organization, and a calm, collaborative spirit to every project—helping the design team transform their ideas into beautiful, functional spaces.

    She currently lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland, with her husband and son, where she enjoys creating a warm and welcoming home of her own.
